SNOW
If you are anything like me, you thought (okay...maybe you were hoping) winter was on it's way out and that spring would be here soon. Wrongo!! LOTS of snow later and Emery and I are "snowed" in--really we could get out but who wants to get out of jammies to go outside in the cold? All this snow isn't that bad....Emery had a cute snow suit she had not gotten to wear and I had not had a snow day from school (which is one of the major perks of teaching hehe). So with Daddy we bundle up and play in the snow and with Mommy we cuddle up and stay inside.
The snow started Saturday evening before I had the chance to run to Walmart for some necessitates...milk and chocolate pie:) I tried to beat most of the snow and run my errand fast, but apparently not fast enough. These two pouty faces were missing Mommy and waiting for supper when I walked in the door.

I'm glad I made it out Saturday night because we had to stay put on Sunday. That is okay...it's not like we have anything to work on at the new house:) In the afternoon we needed a break and headed out to brave the snow.
Emery didn't really think that much of the snow...really she was busy worrying about Lola getting lost in the snow mounds and she stayed busy watching her Daddy's every move. The poor girl could not even walk and had to be carried around the yard ha!
We tried to convince her that the snow was yummy ice cream and clearly she was not a believer.
Because of our "No Snow" winter, we had not bothered to buy a sled this year. But you can't play outside in the snow without sledding! A little redneck thinking produced a sled made out of Em's swing. And Emery Kayt's face says it all. FAIL!
She mostly just sank in the snow and looked up at her Dad with a clear "You have got to be kidding me" face. Next year we will redeem ourselves.
We took a walk around the new yard--I think I could get used to this scenery. Can't wait to see it all get green!

The finished product. Makes me secretly look forward to more snow days. I say secretly because I do now want Mother Nature to get the wrong idea and send more right now.
Hope you had a fun a safe snowy weekend too!
What wonderful memories. Glad you posted them and Em will be too when she is old enough. How wonderful it will be for her to be able to see and read all the blogs!
