Two Weeks Old

Emery you are two weeks old today! What have you been up to this past week?

You had your two week check up today and are right on track. You are back up to 7lbs 6oz (almost birth weight) and the doctor told us that you are 2-3 weeks advanced in your strength and alertness. I guess all that kicking and squirming you do is paying off! Mom and Dad will lay you done in one spot in your crib and in a couple of hours you inch yourself almost out of your swaddle and across your bed! You are such a mover and a shaker!

You have changed sooo much in this past week. Mommy and Daddy swear you get bigger and more bright eyed everyday. Your hair is growing, your little blonde eye lashes are getting longer, and your squeezable little cheeks are getting even more squeezable.

All of this growing makes you take a couple of naps during the day and really sleepy at night. We swaddle you up tight, get your belly full, and you sleep so good!

You finally have a cute little belly button, and that means big girl baths from now on! You really did not mind it....getting your hair washed is your favorite part.

You still LOVE your zebra and like to take naps in your swing.

You also love your Daddy and miss him so much during the day. Good thing Mom gets in lots of cuddles during the day......because you two are inseparable at night.
