A Yummy Sparkly Weekend

This little girl had a pretty darn good weekend. First of all, Nana has been here. Which can only mean one thing--Em has been spoiled rotten. Long cuddly naps, cute outfits, giggles and grins, rice cereal...oh the life of a four month old.
Friday night was full of orange and blue. We went to the first Illini basketball game decked out in our finest orange and blue (tutu and all!) Emery was too into the game (like her Daddy) for us to get a great picture.
She was such a good baby. Cheered the boys on, took a quick nap, and cheered some more!

Saturday we hit the town to do some shopping. We didn't buy much, but I might have bought two of my favorite Em purchases--her first Christmas dress (saving it for a later post) and these glamorous glittery gold shoes!
I do not think I have seen anything so cute. Douglas agreed until Emery moved just a little and glitter went everywhere. I mean everywhere. We scrubbed her down last night and she still looked pretty sparkly this morning. Oh well--a little glitter never hurt anybody;)
Besides her first Illini game and first glitter fiasco, Emery had another delicious first this weekend. The above picture is of a little girl VERY excited to try her first bites of cereal.
Emery is a good eater. I mean a suck-down-4oz-in-4-minutes kind of eater. We figured she would devour cereal and we were right! Her spoon skills are already pretty awesome---the girl was born to eat!
Just look at the concentration! Cereal time might be my new favorite--next to waking up smiles time, giggle time, bath time, nap time, play time--okay I kind of like all of the times with her<3

  1. So glad for the post. She looks adorable. Glad she is starting the cereal and that she likes it. Love the shoes. Looks like she is going to be a real Illini fan. So cute!
