Emery Kayt is One Year Old!
The day is finally here Emery Kayt! You are a year old....twelve whole months have passed in a blink of an eye. You have celebrated all of your first holidays. You have gotten to meet so many friends and family who love you. You have experienced the coolness of fall, the cold of winter, the colors of spring and the heat of summer. You have rolled over, crawled, stood on your own and are almost walking. You have gone from smiling to giggling to laughing and even to talking. You have wrapped your Daddy around your little finger and have completely stolen this Mommy's heart. You have been very busy little girl!!
We feel like you grow everyday--you go to the Doctor tomorrow and we are anxious to hear your new stats....my guess is around 18lbs. Your hair is getting longer and you rock a spiky pony tail and bow about everyday. You are fitting perfectly in twelve month clothes but your shoes are getting a little snug---might have to buy a size 2 or 3 instead of newborns or 1's ha! You only have one tooth (okay....really just a 1/2 of one) so that gummy grin is still as cute as ever!
I looked at last month's favorites and the winner is still the same....Bunny Paci. We do not leave the house (or sometimes even your room) without her. The poor thing has seen better days and needs a good scrubbing. Don't worry....I will never replace her because I love her smell and feel almost as much as you do! Your baby doll is back on the favorites list along with this hippo-monkey-ball-slide-thing. You rock and pat baby (and then usually throw her on the floor) and can spend forever putting the balls down the slide and finding them in the hippo. Name anything else that you are not suppose to have and it is probably your favorite too--cell phones, lap tops, paper towels, Tupperware, canned food, cabinets--nothing seems to be out of reach anymore.
Your new word is simply "Hi". It is almost like you practice how many different voices and tones you can say it in. Momma and Daddy are your other usuals and other than that you just mimic all of our words and sounds. Your kisses are still open-mouthed and wet but now you make the kissing sound to go along with them. We love your kisses so much!
As you can see in these pictures, you do not sit still for a second. You can crawl a mile a minute and spend most of your time just standing....usual on your tip-toes. We think we will have a walker in the next couple of weeks---you know what you are suppose to do and you do try---but those legs are still a little wobbly.
You love your Daddy so so much and he is the one that you love to play games on. When he gets home from work you get very excited and can't wait for him to hold you but then you trick him and crawl away...that is followed by lots of laughs from both of you. You love to watch him juggle and he is trying to teach you to throw a ball. (Sadly you are showing signs that you are indeed your mother's daughter and are not athletically inclined...) He will love you no matter what.
As much as you love Daddy, I seem to get the most snuggles. You have gotten so so sweet and cuddly all of a sudden. You will just lay your head on my shoulder and pat me. Those moments are my absolute favorite right now. You know that I am your Mommy and will always be there to comfort and care for you. What a blessing you are to your Daddy and I!!
You deserve the greatest and happiest day because you truly are the best baby (one year old) in the world. How did we ever get so lucky??
Happy Birthday Emery Kayt---We love you!!

Yes baby girl Em you are truly loved so much. It has been such a pleasure to watch U grow this first year and do all your "firsts". We are so happy for the decision your mommy and daddy made to move back home thus enabling us to be able to enjoy being with all three of you and see first hand the blessing God has given us of watching you grow and having the opportunity to spend time with you and your mommy and daddy. Love you all .
