The Birthday Party

I am just going to tell you a little about your Birthday Party, Emery, and then let the pictures take it from there.

We had your first birthday party at Gigi and Papa's pond because that is the party house! We have not had anything there since Clayton graduated 8th grade and it was time to start the tradition back up again! For a year we had figured it would be 100 degrees out for your big day but God sent you a "Polar Vortex" and we stayed comfy in the shade all afternoon. Mommy, Nana and Gigi started early decorating while you stayed home and worked on some beauty sleep. At noon we were ready to party! Lots of family (and friends...but those people are really like family too) came to celebrate your day with you. You ate lunch, then ate lots of cake (okay really mostly icing) and played with new toys. All smiles all day....but that is your usual Em.

Your buddy Kendra was nice and took pictures for you.....you will have to thank her when you are older;)
These flowers were given to you by Great-Grandma Angie. She grew them with love from her garden.
Cookies we made at Aunt Linda's house....just believe me when I say they were yummy.

We displayed all of our favorite pictures (which included over 100...Mommy is a little crazy) and pictures of Daddy and I as babies. You are definitely a mix of both of us!
Your handmade cake got a little hot and wilty....but by the looks of the bites you were taking it must have still tasted good!

You HATED the party hat....sorry, but I am not sorry for making you wear it ha!

You must be pretty loved because you got so many fun toys and cute outfits. Everything a little girl could ask for and more!
The cozy coupe is one of the front runners as your new favorite. The others on the list would have to be Elmo from Uncle Avery and your newly restored stroller from Grandpa.
Your Grandpa took a beat-up, rusted, mid-1950's stroller and turned it into this good looking perfectly pink stroller. You will have this forever Em:)

Everyone ate too much, sat around and talked, and played with you. They helped us take everything down while you took a well deserved break with your Great-Grandparents.

And then this happened! I think that means you had a great day little girl. I know we did:)

  1. Emmy it indeed was a perfect day in every way including the wonderful weather. Your mommy didn't mention that her and Nana made all the wonderful craft items to decorate your celebration. Many hours of love went into this just for you. PaPa and GiGi are so happy that we could have this birthday celebration at Party Central. You were such a good, good baby all day long but that is not new for you. You are always a happy, content baby girl. We love you soooo much! God has truly blessed us!
