August Samuel~ One Week Old

 
You may be crying in your one week picture, but August Samuel you could not be any sweeter or happier. It is hard to believe that you are already one week old--I guess time really does fly when you are having fun!
 
After a quick little bath (just because this Mom lovesss to come your curly hair) we went to your first doctors appointment. 
 
You were thrilled. Clearly.

You did so good. You now weigh 7 lbs 2 oz-almost up to birth weight-and you are still about 20 inches long. Perfect. There were no tears and that makes for a happy baby and momma!

 

You are usually awake all morning, snooze all afternoon and have been waking about every 3 hours at night. We swaddle you up just like we did your sister and you seem to be a great sleeper (I am trying to not jinx myself!)

 

You are a great eater and very content as long as you are full. You hate to have your diaper changed so Mommy and Daddy try to be speedy.  You do loved to be cuddled but you also do not mind swinging in your swing from time to time.

 

You have had lots of visitors (and more to come) and you met a very special visitor the other day, your Great-Grandma Angela. How lucky you are to have seven grand parents that love you so much!

 

As of now, I do not know if you really know Emery exists-Mom is kind of the center of your world right now ha!  Emery is always checking on you and talking about you but to be honest you are making Em a little jealous. Good thing Mommy has the perfect lap built for two. She will lean on you and talk loudly----and you do not even flinch. Get used to it kid.

We have loved your first precious week of life and can't wait to see how you start to grow and change. We love you August Samuel!
