August Samuel~2 Weeks Old
On Thursday you were officially back up to birth weight--7lbs 4oz--This Momma is so so glad you are growing and thriving. Keep it up! You like to eat every 2 to 3 to sometimes 4 hours--so still unpredictable, but that is just fine. I guess you have decided you are too cool for naps during the day. You fight them and fight them (just like your sister did) and only seem truly happy if you are eating or being cuddled. When you finally do give in, you might sleep for a couple of hours, but then you are bright eyed once again....you don't want to miss out on any of the fun here at home!
You are still sleeping 3 to 4 hours straight at night--I get your belly full, swaddle you up, and you are out! You still pay no attention to your big sister but she does try to keep you entertained. I can't wait to see you start reacting to her....you are going to think she is pretty silly. Your hair is still light blonde and growing I think. Yesterday when we went outside it got so curly in this humidity--you definitely do not have your father or sister's hair! You DO have your Daddy's eyes though....already pretty blue. You are just the sweetest little boy and we love you so much!
I thought I would sneak this big smile in to your weekly update. We picked out your newborn pictures yesterday and this one is in the running for our favorite. Too cute Bud!
He certainly is growing and thriving. Just what we want. Love the picture with great smile. Can't wait to see August and Emery reacting to each other. Emery will be so excited. August will still be too little for awhile to appreciate it probably. It will be most enjoyable!
