August Samuel~11 Months Old

Auggie Boy you are 11 months old! That means in one month our blonde haired, blue eyed baby boy will be ONE. How on earth is that possible?? 11 months is so much fun. Your personality has somehow gotten even bigger and we have fallen more in love.

Size-wise not much has changed. You have absolutely no butt, the shortest legs and the littlest feet.. All of the food you eat must just go to your cheeks--and you eat a lot!! You are a real food lover and I don’t think we have found anything that you do not devour. I hope you stay this way. You still drink a few bottles but snacks, lunch and supper are where it is at!

You could honestly use a haircut again---that would make for number three. I still can't get over that. Since we have had to comb your hair since birth, you will pick up a brush and immediately start combing your hair….you know what to do! You have two cute teeth on the bottom and I think there are more on their way.

This month has been the month of new tricks. You still love to wave but now you blow kisses, say how big you are and mimic our faces and sounds. You say “da-da”, ‘ma-ma” and “nan-nan”....we can’t decide if this is for Nana or Nancy! You walk along everything and think about taking off on your own. I also think you are going to be a climber….I have recently found you standing on the dish washer and trying to climb up the living room shelves. You can get into a lot of trouble fast!

Your love of Emery’s princess castle is still strong but you are starting to be all about playing ball. You like to catch it and think you are throwing it back. This keeps you and Daddy pretty busy. Maybe that is why he is the new favorite…..you must be with your Dad. If he goes into the other room, you are right behind him. The other day you saw him leave and you sat by the door and had a melt-down because you didn’t get to go. (Have I mentioned that you can be kind of dramatic?) You two are going to partners in crime (and I know that your Daddy is lovingggg this.)

August Samuel, you go non-stop. You are over the top, happy or sad. We love you from the curl of your hair to the curl of your toes and can’t wait to celebrate you in less than a month!
