Em's Birthday Week Fun

It has been Birthday Week over here and you know what that means....a little bit of extra fun everyday! Time really does fly when you are having fun and I can't believe our girl will be FOUR tomorrow. I hope she had a good week. She deserves it.
Monday was shopping day. This might be the last year we can pull off taking the birthday girl shopping with us. She was very nosey when it came to what was in our bags...
Auggie stayed with Aunt Vicki because Auggie and shopping all day do not mix.
Tuesday we picked up Big Hannah and went to Robinson to the free kids movie. SING! We love this movie. You should hear them both try to sing "Hallelujah". Em watched with a smile on her face and Auggie actually did really good/repeated loudly everything the movie said/kept talking to the little boy in front of us/ shook his "booty" (as he put it) during every song.
The plan was to go to the pool after that but it was so cloudy. We opted for a Hannah sleep over instead.
And we just went swimming on Wednesday! It was SUNNY and HOT. Since both kids are little fish by now they get even more worn out swimming. We took it pretty easy the rest of the night.
Thursday was a big day full of big girl stuff. First up-Earrings! Em has always said she wanted her ears pierced like "Mommy's" when she turned 5. Recently she has noticed other friends getting their's done and she talked about mine all the time. I asked her if she wanted to get them done when she turned 4 and after a few no's she changed her mind and said YES!
And the girl LOVES them. She told the cashier at Wal-mart yesterday that she had new earrings, I keep catching her looking at them in the mirror and last night at supper she just sighed and said "Well I'm just going to have supper with my earrings in." It is like they have been life changing haha.
We love them too, Em!
Auggie went for moral support and the candy (he also said he wanted his pierced). I don't know who was more nervous...Mommy, Daddy or Nana because it sure wasn't Emery. The girl didn't flinch. When it was all said and done I could see tears welling up in her eyes but the smile never left her face. We told her she could cry if she needed to and a few very short tears later, she was good to go.
After earrings and lunch we had to get home. Some of our best friends were coming over! Out of all the women in my house, Emery Kayt was the first baby hog. She couldn't get her hands on Baby Winnie fast enough. Aug liked her too but was really just worried about the fact that she didn't have socks on. I can see a lot of Baby Boy and Emery time in my near future. Again, she is going to be the best big sister.
I love these babies and their angels and their mommas.
A lot.
We finished Thursday with a bang! A bunk bed bang! Em was so excited she couldn't even speak when she saw them. Which is something. She only got up once (I think to prove that she could do the ladder in the dark) and slept in. She has declared the top bunk as the best bunk!
Auggie was supposed to sleep in his new room too....but we found him like this in the recliner. I guess our visitors and no nap wore him out. Old room had to work one more time.
It just dawned on me that I will never read him bedtime books in "his" room again.
I'm only slightly sad about that because I am getting so excited for this next phase of life.
Friday was a laid back beach day. Lately if Em is swimming then she is happy. And that is all that matters.
I am going to miss this week and this summer. I wonder if Em will remember any of it.
Sand in her toes, sun kissed cheeks, wild hair and bare feet.

Tomorrow we celebrate you, Emery Kayt! Happy Birthday Eve!
