Three Little Pumpkins

One of my favorite days of the year is when we go to the Pumpkin Patch. It is a day filled with all the Fall goodness--apple cider, mums, all the pumpkin cinnamon rolls and of course picking pumpkins.
Being a million weeks pregnant (okay only 38) we changed our plans a little bit this year.
Nana and kiddos picked pumpkins and we carved them.
We didn't think Auggie would want to touch the inside of his pumpkin and we were right. He wanted to use his "scoop" so I dug out the insides and he played with the seeds in a different bowl. He soon was just running around, playing. He did ask for a happy face and just laughed when he saw the final product.
Em got to be the proud owner of the big pumpkin this year since Doug and I skipped getting any. Three pumpkins for the three babies instead. She didn't really want to stick her hand inside either but we talked her into it.....she was elbow deep and quickly decided that it wasn't for her. She did help Doug pick out and draw all the facial features and opted for a scary face this year. She is her father's daughter.

We picked out a cute baby face for Baby Boy's and I quickly carved that one. The kids were so proud of them (although Doug and I should get all the credit! We joked that we are getting pretty fast at carving...lots of practice.) We light them every night and I secretly love them just as much as the kids do. Love this little tradition--can't wait to add Baby Boy to the mix next year.
He will be our Halloween Baby after all.
