Bennett Lee~8 Months Old

Bennett Lee, we really cannot believe you are eight months old. These months seem to be sneaking up on me more and more and you seem to be growing and changing every single day.
But with every month, every day comes more smiles, more scrunched up faces, more wiggles and more joy.

You are a growing boy and wear all of Auggie's old 12 month clothes. Welcome to the hand-me-down life. I just moved you up to size three diapers and we are trying out some night-time diapers at bedtime so you maybe don't soak every pair of pjs we own. I blame all my laundry on you!
You refuse to hold your bottle by yourself but you will use those chubby fingers of yours to put everything in your mouth. You mastered puffs a while ago and can also pick up oranges and strawberries and anything else I can cut up tiny for you. You really want to eat what we are eating so we try it. It at least keeps you busy! We have said all along that you will be our baby that goes right to big people food.
The biggest surprise this past month was your teeth! You have two bottom teeth and got them way earlier than your siblings did. Sometimes you can see them when you laugh or smile and I just love them. You are also officially on the go, go, go this month. You prefer to army crawl but could crawl on your hands and knees if you wanted too. You also get up on your hands and tippy-toes all the time and we swear you just want to walk. Who knows, maybe you will be my earliest walker too. You crawling is a game changer. You can get back to the bathroom in a second and try to follow the big kids outside. And lets not talk about all the food you find on the kitchen floor to eat. I think you treated your self to a chocolate chip the other day. You have also decided that you can pull up to your knees and it will not be long before you are standing. Slow down, little one.
With all this new adventuring you would think you would be falling right to sleep at nap or bedtime. Nope. You have figured out that I will rock you instead of just laying you down for naps. Also, since you can crawl and pull up instead of just lay in your bed and fall asleep, you really wake yourself up and sometimes it is back to square one to get you back to sleep at night. The moral of the story is a lot more rocking lately....so I shouldn't really be complaining.
We are all in love with your personality. You are still my happy, angel, bestest baby. So chill as long as you are getting a little attention or think you are one of the big kids. You laugh at yourself after you make a face or noise which makes me think you might be another August Samuel. Your new scrunched up face is all of ours' favorite and has earned you the nickname "Bulldog Bennett".
When you are sad you say, "Mumm-mumm-mumm" and Emery and Auggie swear "Mom" is your first word.
You love anything you can put in your mouth, being outside, swimming, puffs, paci, and Daddy. He is your clear favorite. There is still time for me to win you over though. We have enjoyed you so much this summer because you are just along for the fun. We know this next month will bring more of your infectious joy and we cannot wait to see you grow and change.
Love you Bennett Baby.
