Emery's Own Christmas Party
Emery Kayt had her very own Christmas Party to attend this weekend and by the looks of that face, she was a bit excited! Miss Nancy invited all of her kids and their parents over for some presents, pizza and fun.
All day I looked forward to seeing Emery play where she plays all day. I know how she acts at home but couldn't wait to see her interact with her buddies!
When we arrived I think the girl was a bit confused. It was dark, we were staying, there were other adults....oh and she had already been there for the day. She was thinkin "You are crazy Mom and Dad!"
She just stood at first. You could totally tell she wanted to go play with the big kids....but there were strangers there that didn't belong. She eventually warmed up and had so much fun. I saw two sides of her: She either played completely by herself in her own little make-believe world or she followed the big kids around and mimicked them. No wonder she is so tired when I pick her up--she is a busy busy girl!
Miss Nancy was way too nice and bought all of the kids the perfect gift. She probably sees them play and talk about toys so she knew just what to get. Youngest got to open up first and that was Miss Em!
Doug and I feel so blessed to have someone that loves and looks after Emery-and I do not think we could ask for a cuter bunch of kids for Em to play with!
Emery received an awesome tub of play food....right up this little eaters ally! As I type every. single. piece is out of the tub and in our hallway. Oh well---messes are fun.
Last year Em was only 5 months old and we thought it was the funnest Christmas yet--this year is already giving last year a run for its money!
And to go along with the Christmas spirit, here is ONE sneak peek picture from our photo shoot with my friend Kendra. Even if this was the only picture out of the day (which it isn't....I do not know how I am ever going to pick my favorites) I would be a happy happy Mommy. I. am. in. loveeeee with this picture (and this little girl).
One week until Christmas break---let the holiday fun begin!
So sweet to see her interacting with her daytime buddies. So nice of Nancy to have the kids and parents together. That is the cutest outfit I ever did see. Love it! The last picture is soooo precious. She is such a doll baby!
