Adventures with Emery Kayt: The Ballard Nature Center Edition

It is summer. And summer to me means endless fun and new experiences. I want Emery to go to bed so happy and so worn out every night. But trying to keep an almost two year old busy and entertained is not the easiest. Especially when said almost two year old has a new baby brother at home. We could easily stay home--but that isn't any fun for Emery (or me because then I would have two cranky kiddos).

So for this week's adventure we thought we would try out something close to home--The Ballard Nature Center. This place is practically in our back yard and is beautiful--well worth the little drive to Altamont.

The birds (okay, really the binoculars) were Em's favorite part and she also loved the bridges and trails. August happily slept all sweaty on my chest. The little adventure was a huge success and we will definitely be back!
For lunch we tried out something else new: The Dairy Bar. Again a huge success (because when isn't ice cream a huge success) and we will be going back here too!
Just look at that happy, sweaty little girl. Yesterday met my summer goals--a happy girl and a sleepy girl. Where should we go next Emery Kayt?

  1. Sounds like a good time was had by all. Like the picture with the binoculars. So cute. Glad August was content to just sleep and rest.
